“Man starts building shelter for himself in order to survive the elements, then structures that enable him to store what he gathers, then decorates it as a means of worship and eventually as a mode of expression, leaving a legacy of his own accomplishments. Enormous strides made in technology, use of materials and creative flair, some drawing on inspiration and others in defiance of the wrath of nature. Yet nothing quenches the life-force of generations of fragile plants, that defy the odds and survive design. I enjoy the irony that the fragile outlives the strong.”
